The Youthbridge Initiative
[deutsch] [kroatisch]
The Youthbridge Initiative is a non-partisan, non-profit organization that seeks to inspire and support young leaders in the pursuit of achieving reconciliation among people in conflict. The primary goal of the project is to empower youth to take personal action and responsibility for building peace in their communities. The basis of the Initiative's approach to peace-building includes the teaching of conflict management skills, the perpetuation of community dialogue and the fostering of cross-cultural relationships in an open, neutral environment.
Our name affirms a belief that young people play a crucial role in building peace and goodwill in every community. Working together, they can build bridges where violence, injustice and prejudice divided people in the past. We believe it is the youth who can best build bridges to peace now and in the future.
